Stavros Zerveas, owner and operator of Petra Creations, always loved gardening and landscaping.  He grew up in Renmark, South Australia and as a child spent endless hours discovering the rugged bush surrounds of his parents’ property. 

When he came to Melbourne in 1988 he studied horticulture part time at Burnley Horticulture College and worked selling plants at various markets. 

Stavros’s first career took him in a different direction, working for more than 15 years as a die cast engineer.  His love of the outdoors and a need to express his creativity through gardening had not waivered and so Petra Creations was launched in 2009.

“As a teenager I first dabbled in landscaping at my parents’ home in the mallee, creating a garden in the driest reddest earth you can ever imagine!”
